1. About this policy
This policy applies to the Skillyte mobile app and the Skillyte website. It explains how we handle personal data under the laws that apply to us, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules. By creating an account, you (or your parent or guardian, if you are under 18) agree to the practices described here.
2. Who we are
Skillyte is operated by [Legal entity name], [registered address]. We decide why and how your personal data is used in Skillyte, which makes us the data fiduciary (also called the data controller). Our contact details are in section 14.
3. Children and parents
Skillyte is designed for young people, and many of our learners are under 18. We take extra care with their information.
- For learners under 18, we ask for the consent of a parent or lawful guardian before we create an account or use personal data. [Describe how this consent is collected and checked.]
- We do not show advertising in Skillyte, and we do not use children's personal data for targeted advertising.
- We do not track or monitor children's behaviour to profile them for commercial purposes. We use analytics and crash reports only to keep Skillyte working and to improve lessons. [Confirm analytics settings for learners under 18.]
- A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information, or withdraw consent, at any time.
If you believe a child has joined Skillyte without a parent or guardian's consent, please contact us and we will act promptly.

7. Where your data is stored
Our main servers are in the United Arab Emirates, on Amazon Web Services (UAE region). Some of the providers in section 6 may handle limited information in other countries. We choose providers carefully, share only what is needed, and require them to protect it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data while your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes above. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within [30] days, and remove it from backups within [90] days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. If an account stays inactive for [period], we will contact you and then delete it. Security and fraud-prevention logs are kept for [period].
9. How we keep it safe
We protect personal data with encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to the people who need it, multi-factor sign-in for our administrators, activity logging and regular security testing. [Confirm against the final setup.] No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
